About the Opportunity
The Project Coordinator oversees and supports the implementation and delivery of various programs, services, events, and activities administered by the Ministry of Women and Gender Equity (MOWGE). The Project Coordinator oversees and analyzes legislative and policy developments impacting Métis women, 2SLGBTQQIA+ community members, and their families while ensuring their perspectives are represented in negotiations and frameworks. This includes consulting on strategic plans, managing daily operations, and building relationships with various stakeholders. The position also requires representing the organization on committees related to health, housing, justice, and other crucial areas, as well as preparing reports and materials for governments and partners. Additionally, the role involves managing project budgets, event planning, and communication efforts, including drafting content for print and digital platforms. Finally, secretariat support and correspondence drafting are essential responsibilities within this multifaceted role.
