Westlakes Recruit is currently recruiting for an Project Director – MMC to support the NEOM The Line project on a permanent basis in KSA.

Role Overview:
The Project Director – MMC (Modern Methods of Construction) will lead and manage all pre- and post-construction activities related to MMC, including both 2D and 3D volumetric manufacturing, installation, and commissioning. This role focuses primarily on premium residential assets within the City Built Infrastructure for NEOM’s The LINE project.

Key Responsibilities:
– Leadership in Manufacturing: Drive and oversee volumetric manufacturing processes, including flow line and cellular manufacturing, to ensure high Pre-Manufactured Value (PMV) across diverse residential assets.
– Design Collaboration: Influence design phases to align with manufacturing and assembly objectives, ensuring design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA) is integral to the project plan.
– Work Package Planning: Develop work package plans to align manufacturing, installation, and commissioning with project cost and schedule goals.
– Procurement Strategy: Establish procurement execution strategies for work packages, assessing and mitigating commercial risks related to manufacturing, installation, and whole life cycle costs.
– Stakeholder Relations: Foster strong relationships across various teams, with a focus on effective communication and engagement plans to enhance project outcomes.
– Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QC/QA teams to ensure all project deliverables meet required standards using digital inspection systems such as BIM360 and COBie data.
– Risk Management: Lead risk identification and mitigation strategies in conjunction with the wider project team.
– Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to project managers and engineers to achieve project goals.

– This role requires readiness to relocate to construction site locations and active participation across both pre- and post-contract phases.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
– Extensive experience in volumetric and advanced manufacturing, especially within premium residential asset development.
– Proficiency in stakeholder management, driving project goals through effective relationship-building.
– Demonstrated initiative-taking leadership with a focus on proactive problem-solving.
– Experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
– Proven track record of delivering large, complex projects as a Project Lead/Director.
– Prior experience in Saudi Arabia is an advantage but not essential.

Qualifications:
– Degree: Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
– Experience: 25+ years in consultancy and construction of mega-scale MEP projects, with at least 10 years in design review, project management, and consultancy for large MEP projects.
– Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services, with experience in large, multifaceted project environments.

Salary:

SAR
75,000 to 80,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
