Project Delivery Manager – Large-Scale Infrastructure Projects

Are you an experienced construction leader with a passion for delivering large-scale projects? This is a unique opportunity to join a reputable contractor from the pre-contracts/tendering stage – all the way through to managing projects over $100M in value, and then handover. 

Your role will be instrumental in ensuring projects meet quality, time, and budget objectives while adhering to best practices and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-contracts/tendering management: Develop and monitor opportunity pipelines, create pre-contract commercial strategies, and analyse market trends and insights by tracking project outcomes and competitor activity.
• Full Project Oversight: Lead all stages of project delivery, from planning through to handover, with a focus on quality, safety, and timely completion.
• Construction Planning and Execution: Develop and review construction plans, monitor project progress, and adjust as needed to stay on schedule and within cost estimates.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks in collaboration with senior management.
• Team Leadership: Oversee and support a team of Engineers, Supervisors, and Administrators to achieve construction targets.
• Client and Stakeholder Communication: Maintain positive working relationships with clients and consultants, managing variations and contractual claims effectively.
• Operational Excellence: Promote and implement the Operational Excellence Framework and ensure project alignment with organisational standards and policies.

Selection Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in project management within a civil contractor delivery side environment.
• Proven track record managing large-scale projects (> $100M) across hard dollar and/or alliance models
• Strong risk management, budgeting, and cost control skills
• Ability to lead teams and drive project outcomes, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
