Job Title: Project Engineer

Location – Remote

Timings – 8 PM to 5 AM

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. This role supports the entire lifecycle of a project, from the Invitation to Bid (ITB) phase through to production completion. The Project Engineer will be responsible for performing accurate estimating takeoffs, reviewing specifications and scopes, and developing submittals and shop drawings. The role requires close collaboration with estimators, project managers, and field staff, ensuring that all projects are executed to the highest quality standards. Project Engineers will also manage project documentation and data using Togal.ai and Salesforce to ensure accurate and timely information flow.

Key Responsibilities:

Takeoffs & Project Preparation:

Perform detailed takeoffs, review project specifications, and scopes to ensure accuracy.

Collaborate with the assigned estimator on project details and ensure all necessary data is gathered for pricing.

Utilize Togal.ai for takeoffs, ensuring data accuracy and project alignment.

Documentation & Database Management:

Upload and organize all supporting documentation into Togal.ai and Salesforce for tracking and record-keeping.

Maintain all project documentation, including submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and any other supporting materials.

Ensure documentation is accessible to estimators, project managers, and other relevant stakeholders.

Submittals & Shop Drawings:

Develop and manage all project submittals and shop drawings as required by project scope.

Track and review Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring any impacts on the project scope are identified and communicated to the project manager.

Collaborate with the project manager to ensure that all shop drawings and submittals align with project specifications.

Project Support & Oversight:

Provide remote support to project managers during the project lifecycle, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.

Assist with resolving any discrepancies or issues in the project documentation before construction begins.

Quality Assurance:

Review takeoffs and other project documentation for consistency and accuracy, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.

Support continuous improvement in the accuracy and efficiency of takeoff procedures and project documentation workflows.

Technology & Training:

Utilize Togal.ai for takeoffs.

Utilize Togal.ai and Salesforce for project documentation and tracking.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.

Experience: At least 3 years of experience in construction estimating, project coordination, or a similar role. Experience in trades such as painting, caulking, joint filling, flooring, waterproofing, or deck coating is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in using construction estimating software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar).

Familiarity with Togal.ai for takeoff management and Salesforce for project documentation (or ability to learn).

Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality in takeoffs and project documentation.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams.
