Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of UAV projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will encompass:

• Project Oversight: Lead the planning, scheduling, and performance tracking of various UAV initiatives, ensuring milestones are achieved efficiently.
• Team Leadership: Inspire and mentor a team of UAV technicians and specialists, overseeing project execution and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Contract Negotiation: Collaborate in defining project scope and actively engage in contract discussions.
• Budget Management: Formulate and track project budgets, implementing necessary corrective measures to ensure financial efficacy.
• Data Management: Work with your team to determine database requirements and manage data from UAV operations for impactful analysis.
• Flight & Logistics Management: Oversee UAV flight requests, pilot assignments, and operational tasks, including mapping and data acquisition.
• Software & Partnerships: Manage UAV flight and processing software, fostering partnerships with platforms like SkySkopes, DroneDeploy, and Pix4D.
• Business Development: Take part in business development initiatives, including responding to RFPs, presenting, and preparing project proposals.

Required Skills

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

• Proficiency in ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and associated extensions.
• Knowledge of relational database management, data analytics, and web-based GIS mapping services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with effective time management abilities.
• A valid driver’s license is also necessary.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Computer Science, GIS, or a related discipline is essential; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in GIS or UAV operations is ideal.
• Remote Pilot Certification is required; Remote Sensing Certification is advantageous.
