As a Project Manager, you will lead the planning and execution of a complex data migration project for a public health information system. This role focuses on coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and Agile methodologies. You will be responsible for project governance, stakeholder communication, and driving the successful migration of the healthcare data. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in project management, strategic planning, and collaboration. Candidates must be located within the borders of the United States and be available for meetings during regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Central Time.
Responsibilities
Project Planning and Kickoff:
- Develop a detailed project plan outlining tasks, timelines, dependencies, and resource allocations.
- Organize a project kickoff meeting involving internal partners and the implementation team.
- Define roles, responsibilities, and communication protocols to ensure effective project governance.
- Conduct a partner analysis to document implicated partners and their needs with regard to system migration.
Requirement Gathering And Analysis
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather migration requirements and define project objectives, scope, and constraints.
- Analyze data sources, formats, and dependencies to identify migration challenges and opportunities.
- Plan for change management activities needed to assist partners through the transition from the existing system to the new one.
- Develop communication and training plans to ensure readiness for migration.
Project Execution And Coordination
- Coordinate tasks across internal and external teams to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Monitor migration progress, performance metrics, and data integrity throughout the process.
- Facilitate regular status meetings and Agile ceremonies to track progress and address impediments.
- Work with technical teams to validate migration processes and ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
Stakeholder Management
- Maintain close communication with stakeholders across technical and business teams.
- Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders on project status, achievements, and challenges.
- Develop reports and dashboards to communicate project progress and KPIs.
Quality Assurance And Post-Implementation Support
- Implement quality assurance measures to address data discrepancies and compliance requirements.
- Provide post-implementation support to address any issues or challenges encountered.
- Conduct post-mortem reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day project management activities, including task prioritization and status reporting.
- Facilitate Agile practices such as stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives as needed.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to resolve challenges and maintain alignment.
- Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Ensure effective use of project management tools, such as Jira and Confluence, to track workflow and deliverables.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Manager working on data migration or technical projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with stakeholder management and cross-functional team coordination.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.
- Familiarity with IIS or other health information systems and migration processes is a plus.
