Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Spearhead and oversee assigned technology projects that align with corporate transformation initiatives and support daily business operations.
- Team Leadership: Direct the implementation and lifecycle of small to medium projects, and collaborate within project management teams for larger programs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly liaise with IT engineering resources, management, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Schedule and Budget Management: Assume full accountability for meeting client-approved master schedules, motivating team members to deliver results efficiently and accurately.
- Main Point of Contact: Act as the primary interface between technical teams and project/program managers, as well as business stakeholders and external clients as necessary.
- Team Coordination: Supervise daily tasks for both internal and vendor-managed project team members, facilitating seamless collaboration.
- Implementation Collaboration: Partner with various functional and technical teams to guarantee accurate and timely project implementations.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality control and assurance on project deliverables to ensure they meet stringent standards.
- Reporting: Provide consistent project status updates and reports to the Project Management Office (PMO) and other relevant stakeholders.
- Documentation Management: Ensure timely delivery of all essential project lifecycle documents, including Project Plans, Installation Plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Risk Management Plans.
- Performance Monitoring: Track costs, schedules, and overall project performance, implementing corrective actions as needed to stay within budget, schedule, and quality benchmarks.
- Methodology Utilization: Employ Project Management (PM) lifecycle and Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies in all aspects of work.
- Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to the corporate repository of project standards and assist in the proposal writing process.
- Travel Flexibility: This position allows for remote work with the potential for travel up to 50%. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in standard Project Management tools, including Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and OneNote.
- Familiarity with various project methodologies such as Agile, DevOps, PMP, and/or ITIL v4.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Proven ability to manage both staff and processes, with a keen focus on deadlines, budgets, and profitability.
- Experience leading technical projects across multiple technical disciplines.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience is essential.
- Certification in PMP or CSM is mandatory.
- Experience managing small to medium technical projects, especially in diverse technological environments, including Windows, Unix, Linux, and Solaris.
