Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of Neuron’s products and services in our Maritime and Energy verticals. This role will focus on overseeing technical projects that encompass both hardware and software components, ensuring seamless integration and implementation to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets to ensure successful integration and delivery of Neuron products and services.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, internal teams, and external partners. Facilitate communication and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure that hardware and software components are integrated effectively.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project milestones are met without compromising quality.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure that deliverables meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and conduct regular status meetings to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Availability: Available out of hours as needed to support project related activities, ensuring successful delivery of Neuron products and services
- Processes: Support the development, documentation and implementation of business processes
- Continuous Improvement: Support a culture of continual service improvement by facilitating the review and adoption of lessons learned / best practices, and implementing best practice project management methodologies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Ideally but not essential Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Project Management, or a related field. Prince (PMP) or similar certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of project management experience, preferably in the maritime, energy , telecommunications, or satellite industries and 5 years professional experience, within a technical role is preferred.
- Strong Attention to Detail
- Technical Knowledge: Technical background or experience in network engineering, WAN connectivity, satellite connectivity, RF/VSAT, hardware integration, VM hypervisors, SDN and software development processes would be a plus
- Industry Best Practice: Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM best practices to support consistent service deployment and handover would be of benefit
- Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Google suite, Service-Now and Jira would be of benefit
- Initiative: The initiative to seek ways to contribute to the company’s success which goes beyond a narrow definition of job responsibilities.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage complex projects with multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think strategically, solve problems analytically, and tenaciously follow through to ensure client success
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
