Job Title: Project Manager – ERCOT (PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to oversee photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects within the ERCOT region. This role requires expertise in managing large-scale renewable energy projects, from planning through execution, with a focus on regulatory compliance, safety, and stakeholder collaboration. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in renewable energy project management, particularly in PV and BESS, and a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Execution
• Develop and manage project plans for PV and BESS installations, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery while maintaining quality standards.
• Stakeholder Coordination
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and regulatory, to align project objectives and deliverables.
• Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure that all projects adhere to ERCOT regulatory requirements, including managing permit applications and coordinating inspections.
• Risk Management
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with project timelines, budget constraints, and regulatory changes to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Resource Management
• Oversee resource allocation, including personnel, materials, and equipment, optimizing utilization to support efficient project operations.
• Safety and Quality Assurance
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality standards across all project stages, maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Performance Tracking and Reporting
• Monitor project progress against key milestones, manage budgets, and prepare regular reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the renewable energy sector, focusing on large-scale PV and BESS projects within the ERCOT region.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong understanding of PV and BESS technology, installation processes, and ERCOT-specific regulations.
• Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related technical field.
• Project Management Skills:
• Proven experience in managing project lifecycles, from contract negotiation and planning to execution and close-out.
• Communication and Leadership:
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams, stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Organizational Abilities:
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications:
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Energy Markets:
• Experience in ERCOT energy markets, including knowledge of utility interconnection requirements.
