**Required:**

• Experience managing multiple interconnection projects within a portfolio, adjusting priorities based on evolving .

• Experience with ISO/RTO tariffs, business practices, protocols, and procedures (specifically CAISO, ERCOT, and SPP).

• Experience leading negotiations and executing complex interconnection-related agreements with customers and RTOs/ISOs.

• Experience in serving as the primary point of contact for RTOs, ISOs, and customers, ensuring smooth communication for all interconnection-related activities.

• Experience with analyzing, and synthesizing complex transmission and interconnection materials into actionable guidance.

• Experience actively managing and communicating the status of interconnection projects, including study milestones, costs, forecasts, and timelines.

• Experience in mitigating risks, solving issues proactively, and continuously evaluate and improve business practices as the industry evolves.

**Preferred:**

• Experience working with CAISO, ERCOT, and SPP procedures, tariffs, and regulations.

• Experience actively following RTO stakeholder meetings and participating in industry advocacy groups.

• Experience in negotiating complex interconnection-related agreements within the transmission and energy space.

• Experience in emerging trends, such as wildfire mitigation strategies and other evolving industry practices.

• Experience managing interconnection projects across different regions, including the Western and Central U.S.

**Responsibilities:**

• Manage interconnection projects for NextEra Energy Transmission assets in the CAISO (California Independent System Operator), ERCOT (Electric Reliability of Texas), and SPP (Southwest Power Pool) regions from initiation to completion.

• Negotiate and execute complex interconnection-related agreements with customers (Interconnecting Entities) and RTOs/ISOs, ensuring compliance and successful project delivery.

• Act as the primary liaison with RTOs, ISOs, and customers for all interconnection-related activities, ensuring clear communication and timely updates.

• Work closely with internal and external subject matter experts to manage all aspects of the interconnection project lifecycle, addressing any issues that could affect execution.

• Regularly communicate and update the status of all active interconnection projects, including tracking study milestones, cost estimates, and timelines to prevent delays in schedules.

• Stay informed of potential or pending RTO/ISO tariff changes by monitoring industry trends and participating in RTO stakeholder meetings and industry advocacy groups.

• Identify risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that all potential issues are mitigated proactively while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
