Position Description

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and takes initiative with enthusiasm. As a key member of our growing team, you will wear multiple hats—leading projects, fostering collaboration, and driving innovative approaches that challenge traditional methods. Internally, you will refine processes, enhance efficiency, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Externally, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality support to clients and partners, ensuring MarketEdge remains responsive, impactful, and a leader in locally-led and market-based development solutions.

This position is remote, but candidates must reside in the Washington, DC area to attend in-person meetings and events as they arise. The Project Manager will have the following responsibilities:

• Business Development: Track and pursue opportunities; draft proposals; engage in outreach; and support strategic positioning for growth.
• Program Management: Manage contracts, consultants, workplans, budgets, and quality assurance to ensure client satisfaction.
• Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, facilitate collaborations, and support shared-value partnerships.
• Innovation and Digital Tools: Leverage MarketEdge’s suite of innovative, digital, and AI-powered tools to accelerate impact and efficiency.
• Technical Implementation: Provide technical support and draft high-quality deliverables aligned with program goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., international development, business administration, economics); a master’s degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in project management, program implementation, or business development within international development.
• Experience managing USAID-funded programs, including ensuring compliance with applicable US government regulations (i.e. FAR, CFR, AIDAR, etc.).
• Experience filling various roles on USAID-funded proposals, including proposal manager, recruiter, and cost preparer.
• Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with innovative tools, including digital platforms and AI-driven resources.
• Ability to take initiative, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to occasionally travel internationally to support field-based activities, client engagements, and stakeholder partnerships. Travel frequency and duration will vary based on project needs.
