Project Manager Scrummaster (Remote)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with Scrum Master experience to oversee the development and maintenance of core applications as well as to provide oversight on all IT projects. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in the adoption of agile methodologies across IT and product engineering teams. As an important member of our team, you will contribute your strong execution skills thought leadership, stakeholder management and project governance expertise to ensure we achieve our priorities to support business objectives. Ideal candidates are committed to continuous learning and improvement, aiming to transform new knowledge into practical solutions for business challenges.

This is a remote position within the Eastern, Atlantic or Newfound Land time zones, (GMT –5 to GMT –4). Occasional travel (up to 2 to 3 times per year) to our Montreal office is required for this role. Candidate must be fluent in English to integrate with our international team.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development and execution of project plans for all IT related projects.

• Collaborate with the project delivery team in establishing project methodologies, standards and best-practices corporate wide.

• Manage sprint releases and gradually convert the team to agile methodologies.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize deliverables.

• Manage risks and issues effectively, developing mitigation plans as needed.

• Provide regular project updates to delivery team and management.

• Participate in production deployments, handling end-to-end processes.

• Collaborate in establishing projects, software and quality metrics.

• Collaborate in implementing best practices with ITIL CAB and release management.

Experience

• Minimum 8 Years’ experience in project management / Scrum master.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar is ideal, as well PMP and CSM certifications.

• Preference will be given to candidates with ITIL 4 Foundation or higher Certifications and SAFe certifications.

• Preference given to those candidates with product management / software engineering experience.

• Must have experience working in JIRA / Confluence

• Experience establishing core and maintenance sprints and releases.

• Proven track record of successful project delivery in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies.

• Ability to take ownership of projects with minimal supervision, leveraging strong problem-solving skills to drive successful outcomes.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Experience with application integration, APIs, ETIL and cloud methodologies.

• Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret business requirements and work with technical teams in creating the necessary technical design documents and contributing to growing our knowledge base.

• Excellent time management, accountability and quick learner to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking / handling multiple efforts at once.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills ( English ) in working with different stakeholders across the company, including non-technical roles.

• Must have working experience in FinTech, payments, finance or banking organizations.
