In this pivotal role, you will engage in collaboration with fellow engineers, technicians, and administrative personnel to advance, design, and implement groundbreaking highway engineering projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Design roadways and prepare comprehensive plans for highway projects.
  • Provide leadership on projects, managing tasks and relaying progress to transportation executives.
  • Oversee project scheduling, progress tracking, and team coordination.
  • Develop project proposals and estimates.
  • Compile final project plans and documentation, including quantity take-offs.
  • Collaborate strategically with team leaders to enhance our competitive offerings.

Required Skills

  • Familiarity with AASHTO, FHWA, and INDOT standards is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation OpenRoads is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with Alternative Delivery Projects is a plus.
  • Ability to adhere to guidelines and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong skills in collaboration and effective communication.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Proven experience in design and preparation of plans for both interstate and local road/street projects.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred or should be obtained within six months of employment.
