Key Responsibilities

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing roadways and preparing comprehensive plans for highway projects.
  • Leading project initiatives, ensuring timely completion of tasks, and providing regular updates to transportation leadership.
  • Managing project schedules, coordinating efforts, and monitoring progress.
  • Developing project proposals and cost estimates.
  • Compiling final project plans and documentation, including quantity take-offs.
  • Collaborating strategically with team leaders to enhance our competitive offerings.

Required Skills

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • Familiarity with AASHTO, FHWA, and INDOT standards.
  • Experience with MicroStation OpenRoads, although it is not mandatory.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, showcasing strong collaboration and idea-sharing skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities.

Qualifications

The following qualifications are essential for this role:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Proven experience in the design and planning of interstate and local road/street projects.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, or the successful candidate should obtain it within six months of employment.
