Key Responsibilities
In your role as a Senior Roadway Engineer/Project Manager, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive roadway design and prepare detailed plans for highway projects.
- Lead project teams, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently while providing regular updates to transportation leaders.
- Manage project schedules, oversee progress reporting, and facilitate effective coordination among team members.
- Develop project proposals and accurate cost estimates.
- Compile final documentation, including project plans and quantity take-offs.
- Collaborate strategically with team leaders to enhance our competitive offerings.
Required Skills
To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following:
- Familiarity with AASHTO, FHWA, and INDOT standards is advantageous.
- Experience with MicroStation OpenRoads is preferred but not mandatory.
- Exposure to Alternative Delivery Projects is beneficial.
- Ability to adhere to instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on sharing ideas and experiences.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Professional experience in designing and preparing plans for both interstate and local road/street projects.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, or the candidate must be prepared to obtain it within six months of hire.
