Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Senior Roadway Engineer/Project Manager, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive roadway design and prepare detailed plans for highway projects.
• Lead project teams, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently while providing regular updates to transportation leaders.
• Manage project schedules, oversee progress reporting, and facilitate effective coordination among team members.
• Develop project proposals and accurate cost estimates.
• Compile final documentation, including project plans and quantity take-offs.
• Collaborate strategically with team leaders to enhance our competitive offerings.

Required Skills

To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following:

• Familiarity with AASHTO, FHWA, and INDOT standards is advantageous.
• Experience with MicroStation OpenRoads is preferred but not mandatory.
• Exposure to Alternative Delivery Projects is beneficial.
• Ability to adhere to instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on sharing ideas and experiences.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Professional experience in designing and preparing plans for both interstate and local road/street projects.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, or the candidate must be prepared to obtain it within six months of hire.
