ABOUT THE POSITION

Immediate start, initial 24 month contract with potential for extension. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the on-time delivery of the project, including managing Consultants/Contractors in delivering the desalination water treatment plant upgrade. Gain more exposure as a representative of both Council’s Project Control Group and Project Management Group.

DUTIES

Undertake site selection for sea water intake structure and transfer infrastructure to develop a scheme concept design and obtain planning approvals
Manage time, cost, and quality according to Council’s policies, guidelines, and legislation
Develop project briefs, specifications and tender documents
Review and manage feedback on procurement and scope in relation to construction time and cost impacts

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Tertiary Qualifications in Project Management, Engineering or similar
Must have prior exposure to Water Treatment Plants/ Desalination Projects
Project Management/ Project Engineering experience in Government projects preferred
Good communication skills, verbal and written with proficiency in Microsoft Suite
