Are you customer service oriented, passionate about coffee, driven by results?

We are looking for someone to do Sales and Customer Support so we can continue to share exceptional quality green coffee beans from over a hundred producers in over ten countries. Project Origin builds relationships all over the world, sources and shares great coffee and  experiments and improves farming practices and quality of life in communities we work with.

This role reports to the Project Origin Australian Key Account Manager and the role is to grow green bean coffee sales, do all administrative sales tasks, visit clients and host cupping sessions, send and follow up samples, write coffee sales contracts and generally help our roasting partners to source coffees that help their businesses succeed.

 

JOB DETAILS 

• Full-time. Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm, 38 hrs per week.

• Australian based and applicant would need unrestricted rights to work in Australia 

• Salary negotiated based on experience and skill set 

• Rapidly growing company that prides itself on quality coffee and a community focus 

• Candidate can be based in Sydney or Melbourne or Brisbane as our first preference, Canberra as second preference. 

• Traveling around Australia to visit clients and prospects is required. 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support all Australian clients with orders, samples, delivery tracking.
  • Provide information about contracts, drawdowns, upcoming harvests and forecasting.
  • Grow domestic sales, support existing clients and seek out new clients.
  • Monitor sales targets and actively develop plans to achieve them.
  • Manage stock allocations for all contracted clients.
  • Maintain client relations, anticipate needs and provide solutions based on what coffees are available and what requirements clients have.
  • Monitor inbound coffee shipments and liaise with clients on coffee arrival timings. 
  • Plan and suggest green coffee sample sets for customers. Follow up and seek feedback.
  • Oversee orders from domestic customers and do all admin related to order processing. 
  • Work with colleagues to organise and promote cupping sessions and other events with our customers nationally and internationally.
  • Attend, and as appropriate, contribute to meetings as required by management. 
  • Any other duties as required by management.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Strong attention to details required
  • Experience using CRM system preferred
  • Experience using task management software (e.g Monday.com) preferred
  • Positive and open attitude

  • Willingness to learn and grow
  • Multi-lingual candidates are a bonus
