Position Overview
In this pivotal role, the Senior Proposal Manager will spearhead all proposal-related initiatives within our internal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all proposal activities, ensuring streamlined organization and clarity.
- Lead the development and review of proposal outlines, ensuring effective design and structure.
- Guide content development efforts, collaborating across functional areas to address specific requirements.
- Maintain visual appeal in proposals through meticulous attention to formatting, styles, and layout.
- Guarantee readability and clarity of content, ensuring consistency in voice and thorough proofreading.
- Ensure compliance with RFP/RFQ requirements, tailoring responses to client language and specifications.
- Facilitate the implementation of strategic themes and approaches aligned with our corporate objectives.
- Conduct internal evaluations and incorporate feedback to refine proposal drafts.
- Manage proposal teams effectively and organize regular status meetings to track progress.
- Oversee the professional packaging of proposals for both electronic and hard-copy delivery.
- Conduct post-submission analyses to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate closely with business development teams to maximize proposal participation.
- Assist in crafting and maintaining marketing materials that reflect our brand messaging.
- Serve as the Administrator for CRM and pipeline management activities, coordinating with leadership.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in proposal management and development.
- Exceptional writing and content development skills.
- Strong ability to format and present documentation clearly.
- Experience in collaborating with diverse functional teams.
- Knowledge of compliance standards and responsiveness in proposal submissions.
- Excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of 5+ years of relevant proposal management experience.
- Familiarity with Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) and Shipley Associates methodologies is a plus.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status; ability to pass a federal government background check is required.
- APMP certification is preferred.
