What You’ll Do

• Identify and build strategic partnerships with media outlets, and content publisher sites to grow audience reach and increase brand awareness.
• Build relationships with reporters, editors and producers across the United States.
• Work with preferred media to share exclusive stories based on Zonda’s rich data on the housing market.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including business development, social media, editorial, economic research and advisory to source stories and build relationships.
• Track and report on key performance metrics such as unique reach and story uptake.
• Leverage existing network contacts and actively seek new opportunities to establish and maintain robust partner relationships.

Who We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of relevant experience in public relations and/or digital communications. We will also consider former journalists for this role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is required.
• Demonstrated success in identifying, negotiating, and managing high-impact relationships that leads to good story pickup and placement.
• Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies that align with overall business objectives and drive audience engagement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively articulating ideas and strategies to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as business development, social media, editorial, and research to ensure cohesive execution of PR strategies.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple partnerships and projects simultaneously.
• In-depth understanding of digital content creation, distribution, and monetization strategies across various platforms, including blogs, videos, social media, and podcasts.
• Familiarity with key performance indicators (KPIs) such as unique reach, website traffic, and audience growth, with the ability to analyze and report on these metrics.
• A well-established network of contacts within the media, publishing, or digital content industries, with the ability to leverage these relationships to create new opportunities.
• Proactive approach to seeking out and establishing new partnerships that align with the company’s goals.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and guiding teams or junior staff members.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions and business priorities.
• A strong focus on achieving measurable results and a history of driving growth through strategic partnerships.
