Join our dynamic team as a DevOps Engineer specializing in Python, where you will have the chance to contribute to high-impact projects that focus on the modernization of legacy systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be instrumental in the migration and transformation of a significant platform to a contemporary microservices-driven architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead initiatives to modernize a Windows COTS platform while dismantling monolithic architecture components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, full-stack systems rooted in distributed computing principles.
- Implement DevOps methodologies, including continuous delivery and comprehensive development practices, to build, test, deploy, and maintain production applications.
- Stay informed on industry trends to promote the adoption of best practices in cloud architecture and DevOps.
- Participate actively in the complete software development lifecycle, ensuring the provision of high-quality solutions.
Required Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in delivering applications from design to production.
- At least 3 years of experience in deploying scalable, distributed systems using Docker/Kubernetes or equivalent technologies.
- Proficiency in Python with considerable experience in microservices and containerized environments.
- Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, Spring Boot, and distributed caching.
- Strong grasp of end-to-end development and a commitment to project ownership (you build it, you own it!).
- Solid background in unit testing, as well as working with Windows COTS products.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine enthusiasm for learning new technologies and delivering innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven track record of modernizing legacy systems and deploying scalable solutions in a professional setting.
