Qa Engineer | SmartFrame Technologies | Poland

Description

Competitive salary | Estimated options value on exit: £1m+ | B2B contract

We are the first to market with a patented image-streaming technology that’s revolutionizing how images are published and monetized online. We’re now working with some of the world’s most prestigious image companies, publishers, and brands on widespread adoption, and are on track to become the next tech unicorn.

SmartFrame Technologies is a dynamic and fast-growing company committed to upholding the rights of image owners worldwide. Our vision is to redefine the way images are published and viewed online – and we need exceptional people to help us make this vision a reality.

We’re currently seeking a talented QA Engineer – Automation to join our rapidly expanding team in Poland. We’re looking for someone who can confidently communicate in English (B2 level minimum) and is willing to take on interesting challenges. If that’s you, we expect you to dive right in and be involved in the full development life cycle of the platform, as well as all testing processes. Our platform must be as slick, intuitive, and user-friendly as possible – so if there are any quirks or kinks that stop this from happening, we’ll be looking to you to help resolve them.

You’ll be part of a team that’s responsible for delivering high-quality products, creating and maintaining automation test projects across all our offerings, evaluating risks and process standards, and playing a key role in the final look of SmartFrame. It’s a multi-faceted role, but you’ll be joining at a pivotal moment in the company’s growth, with plenty of opportunities for personal development, a fun and sociable team environment, and a competitive salary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manually testing web-based products (UI and API)
  • Participating in automated testing, writing new test cases, maintaining current ones, and monitoring new ones daily – we currently aim for 70% manual and 30% automation, though this may vary in the future, according to development needs
  • Carrying out testing activities that include requirements analysis, test planning, test case preparation, test execution, and test closure
  • Preparing and maintaining test data and documentation
  • Collaborating closely with the Development and Product teams throughout the product release life cycle
  • Working with a variety of tools and platforms, including Salesforce, AWS, AdButler, C2PA, Picturemaxx, and WordPress.

Requirements

  • At least four years’ experience in both manual and automation testing
  • A solid understanding of QA best practices and methodologies
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably JavaScript/TypeScript) and a willingness to code in TypeScript
  • Strong self-learning skills, with the ability to ask questions and a can-do attitude
  • Experience in test automation using the Playwright framework
  • Experience in API testing using Postman and an understanding of REST API concepts
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, preferably Gitlab
  • The ability to build and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans and test cases
  • Attention to detail, with strong technical and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • A desire to contribute to the company’s success and grow alongside it
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude; we believe in collaboration and collective effort
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and WordPress would be advantageous
  • Proficiency in English (B2 minimum)

Benefits

  • An eight-core MacBook Pro 16″ for smooth working, together with all the tools you need to excel in your role
  • A no-nonsense startup culture, with development managed by the original SmartFrame developer
  • A pragmatic and technocratic approach to choosing technologies and architecture
  • A generous company share option scheme
  • Eligibility for our generous profit-share incentive scheme
  • Remote working, with periodic team meetups
  • Private healthcare
  • 25 days’ holidays
  • Paid time off between Christmas and New Year, in addition to the 25-day holiday allowance
  • The opportunity to work with a multinational team of passionate creatives and development experts

We’re passionate about SmartFrame – and once you get to know us we’re sure you’ll be too. If you fancy being part of changing the way images are published online, and expediting a new technology on a global scale, get in touch with your CV and a covering letter so we can put you on our radar.
