About the job:

We are a multinational company that develops complex, high performance software solutions mainly for the sportsbook industry. Our goal is to deliver to our customers the best betting experience possible. We are looking for a QA lead to be in charge of the sportsbook QA team to help ensure that quality standards are met.

What you’ll be getting up to:

• Prepare comprehensive Test Plans that outline the project scope, testing methodologies, execution strategy, and schedule.
• Develop tailored testing strategies for specific products and applications.
• Obtain approval for the test plan and strategy from the team and project manager.
• Review and comprehend software requirements specifications to ensure alignment with testing objectives.
• Understand business requirements and assess their impact on the test plan and strategy.
• Identify gaps or errors in test information and propose appropriate solutions.
• Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the test plan and make revisions as needed.
• Communicate effectively with various technical teams to ensure alignment and understanding.
• Understand a wide range of technical concepts to ensure thorough testing and strategy development.
• Apply best practices in software testing to create test documentation and implement testing techniques.
• Promote industry standards to ensure the reliability of products and an excellent user experience.
• Adapt testing strategies to meet the specific needs of different projects.
• Identify critical elements and components of products, understanding potential testing issues and constraints.
• Select appropriate testing tools based on their capabilities and limitations.
• Execute software quality assurance testing to ensure product quality.
• Ensure that bugs reported in the Defect Management tool are detailed, clear, concise, and include all necessary supporting information for replication and resolution by other team members.
• Verify the objectives of test scripts with System Analysts to ensure alignment.
• Obtain signoff on test scripts from the QA Manager.
• Gather, analyze, and summarize test results, providing clear insights into test performance.
• Communicate test results to the QA and Project Manager for further action.
• Be available for on-call support as required by the project.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 6 years working experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer for different software development projects, with a strong background on testing Web-based applications.
• At least 2 years working experience in a Lead QA position.
• At least 1 year experience in testing applications with Third Party integrations.
• Background on testing SOAP and RESTful Web Services using SOAPUI or similar tools.
• Experience in testing web applications frontend with using Playwright or Cypress, alternatively Selenium Web Driver or Appium.
• Solid knowledge of at least one modern programming language, preferably JavaScript or Java.
• Basic knowledge of SQL.
• Independent but collaborative, driven, assertive, and willing to work on simultaneous projects.
• Strong grasp of established and emerging technologies, systems, platforms, and software.
• An understanding of continuous integration/delivery.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable skills and experience:

• Experience in testing under Agile development is preferred.
• Background in Online Gaming is preferred but not required.
• Experience in any automation test tool is a plus.
• Experience with application load and performance tuning.
• Basic understanding with Selenium Web Driver and similar technology.
• Basic knowledge with Java.
• Experience using web based task management and resource allocation tools such as JIRA.
• Experience with Linux will also be beneficial.
• Knowledgeable with mobile testing is a plus.
