A well-established personnel placement company, headquartered in South Dakota, is actively seeking a motivated Recruiter to join our team. We are looking for self-driven, disciplined individuals who can work effectively in U.S. time zones. This is a full-time, remote position, with working hours from 2pm to 10pm UTC. A stable internet connection, the ability to work independently with technology, and self-provision of a computer/laptop are required. Candidates must also be able to work through load shedding or similar power interruptions.

This role combines generalist HR administrative support with business development responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing new clients and identifying growth opportunities through cold calling and relationship-building. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to efficiently manage cold calls to potential clients, with the goal of identifying, creating, and converting business opportunities into long-term partnerships. A strong background in HR and business development is essential.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Organize, maintain, and update employee information
  • Place job adverts online and screen CVs as required
  • Schedule job interviews, meetings, and onboarding sessions
  • Conduct reference and background checks
  • Prepare onboarding materials for new starters
  • Ensure IT requirements are organized for new employees
  • Assist with booking training or conducting training research
  • Address employee queries with confidentiality
  • Liaise with suppliers or assist with procurement for HR-related work
  • Keep up to date on current HR issues and departmental matters
  • Identify and create new business opportunities by developing and maintaining a pipeline of prospective clients
  • Cold calling with efficiency, identifying client needs and proposing solutions that align with company services
  • Source and build relationships with new clients, ensuring a steady pipeline of potential business
  • Develop and execute client acquisition strategies with a focus on lead generation and relationship-building
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with the team to meet overall business objectives
  • Contribute to team discussions and provide support to colleagues when needed
  • Prepare reports and written communications with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in HR or related field, with experience in client sourcing or business development preferred

Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office, especially with social platforms or marketing systems (highly advantageous)
  • Proven ability to efficiently manage cold calling and client outreach activities
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Highly efficient in English (speaking, reading, and writing reports) with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sales-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while being an effective team player
  • Problem-solving ability and high levels of integrity
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Self-provision of a computer/laptop and ability to work through load shedding or power interruptions is essential
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or sales tools would be beneficial
