Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Regional Sales Manager to join our team, specializing in selling LED Modules, LED Drivers, and related PCB-Assembly services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the lighting industry, with established relationships with Tier-1 Light Fixture OEM manufacturers. This individual will be responsible for managing and growing sales in the East Coast region and overseeing the performance of independent sales representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Leverage existing relationships with Tier-1 OEM manufacturers to expand market share.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in the region.
  1. Account & Project Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers, addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Manage customer projects end-to-end to ensure the best solution for closing the deal.
  1. Sales Team Leadership
  • Recruit, manage, and motivate independent sales representatives in the region.
  • Set performance expectations, monitor results, and provide ongoing training and support.
  • Facilitate communication between the sales reps and internal teams, including marketing and product development.
  1. Market Insights & Reporting
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare regular sales reports via Salesforce, forecasts, and market analyses for senior leadership.
  1. Collaboration & Coordination
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of orders, deliveries, and customer support.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance visibility and strengthen relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the B2B lighting industry, specifically selling LED modules, LED drivers, or related components.
  • Relationships: Established network and proven track record with Tier-1 Light Fixture OEM manufacturers.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate independent sales reps to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Regional Knowledge: Familiarity with the East Coast market, including customer base, trends, and key players.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of LED technology, applications, and customer requirements.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Location: Based in the Greater NY, NJ, CT, or PA area highly preferred, with the ability to travel extensively within the region.
  • Travel: Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SFDC or similar CRM systems for sales tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop actionable strategies.
  • Familiarity with the manufacturing process and supply chain dynamics in the lighting industry.
