Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Regional Sales Manager to join our team, specializing in selling LED Modules, LED Drivers, and related PCB-Assembly services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the lighting industry, with established relationships with Tier-1 Light Fixture OEM manufacturers. This individual will be responsible for managing and growing sales in the East Coast region and overseeing the performance of independent sales representatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Leverage existing relationships with Tier-1 OEM manufacturers to expand market share.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in the region.
- Account & Project Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Manage customer projects end-to-end to ensure the best solution for closing the deal.
- Sales Team Leadership
- Recruit, manage, and motivate independent sales representatives in the region.
- Set performance expectations, monitor results, and provide ongoing training and support.
- Facilitate communication between the sales reps and internal teams, including marketing and product development.
- Market Insights & Reporting
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
- Prepare regular sales reports via Salesforce, forecasts, and market analyses for senior leadership.
- Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of orders, deliveries, and customer support.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance visibility and strengthen relationships.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the B2B lighting industry, specifically selling LED modules, LED drivers, or related components.
- Relationships: Established network and proven track record with Tier-1 Light Fixture OEM manufacturers.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate independent sales reps to achieve and exceed targets.
- Regional Knowledge: Familiarity with the East Coast market, including customer base, trends, and key players.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of LED technology, applications, and customer requirements.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Location: Based in the Greater NY, NJ, CT, or PA area highly preferred, with the ability to travel extensively within the region.
- Travel: Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SFDC or similar CRM systems for sales tracking and reporting.
- Ability to analyze data and develop actionable strategies.
- Familiarity with the manufacturing process and supply chain dynamics in the lighting industry.
