Key Responsibilities
- Sales Growth: Increase overall sales by developing key relationships with new accounts and nurturing existing ones, with a focus on exceptional client experiences and financial profitability.
- Client Relationships: Manage key account relationships while actively seeking new business opportunities to build a robust pipeline.
- Industry Engagement: Participate in industry organizations and local community events to develop business connections and attain leadership status.
- Lead Qualification: Qualify leads and develop innovative strategies to achieve annual sales goals.
- Collaborative Strategy: Partner with creative teams to craft compelling proposals aligned with client goals and budgets, and deliver dynamic presentations.
- Client Interaction: Conduct site inspections, entertain clients, and build strong personal rapport.
- Business Closure: Finalize and close deals, ensuring deposits and signed contracts are in place before transitioning to the event production team.
- Financial Management: Accurately project budgets and track revenue in Salesforce, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Marketing & Communication: Update clients and hoteliers on new venues, services, and destinations using local marketing strategies.
- Client Support: Provide availability during programs for client contact and future opportunity follow-up.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business development, experience designers, and event producers to exceed client expectations.
- Knowledge Sharing: Inform the global sales team about local market opportunities and trends through quarterly destination overviews.
- Business Planning: Implement and execute a marketing plan for your designated region.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in sales, preferably in destination management, incentive travel, event management, or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality & Tourism, Business Management, Marketing, Communication, or related field preferred.
- Client Development: Proven ability in new business development, lead qualification, proposal presentation, and closing deals.
- Program Design: Experience in program design from inception through contract, consistently meeting sales goals.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to provide solutions to challenges in program development and sales.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with suppliers on behalf of clients.
- Professional Representation: Capability to professionally represent the company in meetings and events.
- Communication: Excellent in responding to inquiries, writing reports, and presenting information effectively.
- Financial Acumen: Proficient in calculating program costs and profit margins related to proposals and contract negotiation.
