Position Overview

We are seeking a driven professional to lead and expand Takara Bio’s presence in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). This role will be offered as either Regional Sales Manager (RSM) or Associate Regional Sales Manager (ARSM), depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Associate RSM: Ideal for senior sales representatives transitioning into leadership roles.

RSM: Best suited for candidates with proven experience managing teams and delivering consistent sales success across multiple territories.

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving regional sales targets, leading a high-performing sales team, and implementing strategic initiatives to drive business growth.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an ambitious, results-oriented individual with:

A strong background in sales within the life sciences market.

Leadership potential (for ARSM) or demonstrated managerial experience (for RSM).

Exceptional interpersonal and team-building skills to inspire and guide a regional sales team.

The ability to establish and grow long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Development

Motivate and manage Territory Managers and Account Managers to meet or exceed regional sales targets.

Provide coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities to enhance team performance.

Sales Strategy and Execution

Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives to achieve business goals.

Identify growth opportunities and drive sales across academic, private, government, and hospital accounts.

Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders to secure loyalty and long-term partnerships.

Actively participate in high-value client meetings to support deal negotiations and closings.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination

Work closely with Marketing, Inside Sales, and other teams to align strategies and share market insights.

Serve as the primary point of contact for the DACH team, facilitating seamless communication with HQ.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

Track sales performance metrics and provide detailed reports to senior management.

Ensure accurate and timely CRM updates (e.g., Salesforce) to drive data-informed decision-making.

Additional Responsibilities

Complete ad hoc tasks and contribute to organizational goals as needed.

Required Qualifications

Education

MSc or PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.

MBA is a plus.

Experience

For Associate Regional Sales Manager (ARSM):

At least 5 years of sales experience, preferably in life sciences or a related field.

Some leadership experience (e.g., mentoring team members or managing projects).

For Regional Sales Manager (RSM):

Minimum 2 years of managerial experience.

Proven success in managing sales teams and delivering results in the life sciences sector.

For Both Levels:

Strong understanding of the life sciences market, including product trends and competitive dynamics.

Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and a data-driven approach to sales management.

Knowledge of genomics is a plus.

Language Requirements

German: Mandatory

English: Mandatory

French: A plus
