An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Regional Sales Manager with a focus on Control Valves. This role is based in the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur and offers the chance to oversee sales and aftermarket activities across Southeast Asia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting sales objectives, managing every aspect of the sales process, and building strategies to penetrate new markets. This role involves direct business development as well as managing channel partners.

What you’ll do:
As a Regional Sales Manager (Control Valves), your role will be multifaceted. You will be responsible for overseeing sales activities across Southeast Asia while also supporting representatives in the region. Your excellent interpersonal skills will allow you to establish strong relationships with key customers through travel and in-person meetings. You will manage the sales team’s efforts regarding quotations, profitability, pricing trends, and success rates. Additionally, you will deliver technical sales presentations showcasing how our products meet customer specifications. Your role will also involve pursuing inquiries for aftermarket parts and services related to valves, desuperheaters, steam conditioning products, and field services.
- Oversee and support representatives in the region, including forecasting, business planning, and tracking open opportunities.
- Establish personal relationships with key customers through travel and in-person meetings to explore new business opportunities.
- Manage the sales team’s efforts regarding quotations, profitability, pricing trends, and success rates.
- Deliver technical sales presentations to showcase how products meet customer specifications.
- Pursue inquiries for aftermarket parts and services related to valves, desuperheaters, steam conditioning products, and field services to support Aftermarket Operations.
- Submit weekly reports that highlight key information about market conditions, customers, competitors, or other relevant insights.
- Address customer issues related to product, delivery, or service, working with internal teams for resolution.
- Conduct site visits and product reviews as needed to facilitate order commitments from customers.
- Develop sales strategies and action plans to achieve booking goals for the market.
- Provide market intelligence and pricing recommendations, and monitor regional competition.
What you bring:
As the ideal candidate for the Regional Sales Manager (Control Valves) role, you bring a wealth of skills and qualifications to the table. Your strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with a variety of variables will be crucial in this role. You have the ability to interpret customer specifications and apply the correct product solutions. Your proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat is essential. You possess expertise control valve applications for industries such as power, industrial, petrochemical, and others. Your familiarity with desuperheating and steam conditioning applications will be beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with a variety of variables.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and apply the correct product solutions.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Expertise in severe and general service control valve applications for industries such as power, industrial, petrochemical, and others.
- Familiarity with desuperheating and steam conditioning applications.
- Basic knowledge of instrumentation and electrical design, as well as fluid handling equipment.
- Strong prioritisation skills and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and leadership skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Experience working in a matrix team environment and building effective relationships.
