Regulatory Affairs Specialist
Description:
We are seeking a full-time Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our dynamic global team in the fragrance oils industry. In this role, you will be responsible for independently prioritizing and processing requests for regulatory information and legal documentation from internal and external customers, including production, logistics, customer service, sales, and clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to complete compliance determinations based on applicable regulations, legislative requirements, and customer guidelines.
- Utilize Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software to generate essential regulatory documents, including Safety Data Sheets, Technical Data Sheets, Certificates of Analysis, EU Allergen statements, and compliance statements.
- Understand, interpret, and apply customer restrictions and regulations across various product categories and jurisdictions.
- Review fragrance formulations for compliance and provide accurate responses to requests for regulatory information and documents.
- Perform various other technical or regulatory-related duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science field, with knowledge of fragrance ingredients and formulations preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in regulatory affairs or a related field.
- Basic understanding of fragrance laboratory and manufacturing procedures, as well as regulations for consumer products.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in regulatory compliance evaluations.
- Excellent discretion and judgment in written and verbal communications.
- Basic knowledge of chemical structures and nomenclature.
- Proficiency in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software.
- Strong technical comprehension and interpretation skills related to regulatory content.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
