Your Role
As our R&D Project Manager, you’ll spearhead groundbreaking projects, including a 3-year initiative funded by Innovation Fund Denmark to develop a mathematical model for predicting biofouling and its impact on ship efficiency. You’ll be at the forefront of creating state-of-the-art products that keep VPS as the market leader in vessel performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of advanced models to drive fleet efficiency for our clients
- Manage the biofouling model project, collaborating with industry partners
- Define project objectives and requirements with key stakeholders
- Inspire and guide cross-functional teams to achieve exceptional outcomes
- Ensure cost-efficient project management and high-quality deliverables
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer needs and escalations
Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field
- Experience in the shipping industry or academia is highly desirable
- Strong analytical skills and research abilities
- Proven project management expertise
- Proficiency in building and calibrating mathematical models
- Knowledge of software development processes
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
