Resource Manager (Remote)

Velosio is looking for a Resource Manager to be an integral member of the Operations.

As a Resource Manager at Velosio, you will be responsible for effectively scheduling and deploying billable resources across the enterprise so that customer expectations are managed, projects are delivered on time, and employee satisfaction is high. You will work with Project Managers, Consulting Leads and Senior Leadership to staff projects with the right resource that has the skills and availability to accomplish the assigned task when it is scheduled. Resource Managers have the responsibility to monitor resources workloads so that they are not overutilized or underutilized ensuring that individual and department utilization targets are achieved. Resource Managers need to be organized and creative problem solvers that can build trust and confidence with the people they work with. This trust is vital to your ability to assign the right resource to the right project at the right time to ensure successful outcomes and satisfied customers.

Your Day Might Look Like

• Act as point of contact for resource assignment, conflict resolution, and development of solutions in support of Professional Services team.
• Build, maintain, and communicate resource forecasts.
• Manage and resolve resource booking conflicts.
• Assist with managing to overall utilization objectives and increasing utilization goals on the Professional Services team.
• Run weekly resource meetings and facilitate resourcing issues / conflict resolution with Professional Services project managers and appropriate department heads.
• Manage resourcing forecast reports, spreadsheets and analysis for Professional Services based on input from weekly meetings.
• Maintain constant knowledge of current and upcoming projects and business development activities as they relate to resourcing.
• Monitor day to day bookings, resourcing, and utilization trends, identifying potential instances of underutilization or overutilization and actively work with the Practice Leaders to address and solve those issues.
• Work to resolve any issues regarding under or over allocations of current staff members.
• Make hiring recommendations based on forecasted resource needs and skill gaps.
• Ensuring the right resources, with the right skillsets, available at the right times.
• Identify potential resourcing or process issues and present to Professional Services management team with resolutions to such issues where applicable.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree. Some college and/or relevant years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 3-5 years’ experience as a consultant, project manager or resource manager in the professional services software solution industry
• Familiarity of Microsoft Dynamics products is a strong asset
• Proficiency in MS Office applications including Microsoft excel
• Assertive conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills.
• Clear and concise communication in both written and verbal form.
• Ability to be diplomatic or firm, when necessary, to drive business forward or obtain results.
• Highly detail oriented and able to work autonomously.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and ease.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple groups.
