The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled writer, project manager, and collaborator to join our team as the RFP and Grant Proposal Manager. You will help advance the organization’s mission, growth, and strategic partnerships by leading the proposal development process. Specifically, you will play a vital role in researching, writing, and managing proposals for various sales and funding opportunities, including grants, bids, and other forms of solicitations such as requests for information and requests for proposals. Working closely with internal teams including sales, marketing, and development, this position will create and deliver compelling narratives and persuasive arguments that effectively communicate Orijin’s mission, goals, and impact to potential funders and partners increasing Orijin’s ability to win new contracts and unlock additional funding streams for our jurisdictions to support the deployment and expansion of the Orijin platform in their facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

● Research funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other sources to identify potential grants and funding streams (state and federal) that correctional jurisdictions can utilize as part of deploying Orijin’s technology and services.

● Lead the end-to-end RFP and grant proposal process, including sourcing, qualifying, and responding to opportunities

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to compile information and resources

● Assist in developing a content library to ensure consistency and efficiency in proposal creation

● Manage the tracking of proposal submissions, wins, and losses

● Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, bids, letters of inquiry, concept papers, and other fundraising materials on time, ensuring compliance with funder guidelines and requirements.

● Collaborate with subject matter experts, clients, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and data for proposal development.

● Develop clear and compelling project narratives, budgets, work plans, and evaluation plans that articulate the organization’s goals, strategies, activities, and anticipated outcomes.

● Coordinate proposal submission processes, including organizing proposal review meetings, managing deadlines, and liaising with external partners, subcontractors, and consultants as needed.

● Maintain accurate records of proposal submissions, correspondence, and funder communications using appropriate databases and tracking systems.

● Contribute to the continuous improvement of proposal development processes, templates, and resources to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

● Stay current on trends, best practices, and emerging opportunities in the education sector

Position Qualifications:

Requirements:

● Minimum of 5 years of experience or related work experience in grant writing, proposal development, or related fundraising activities.

● Proven track record of successfully securing grants, contracts, or other forms of funding from government agencies, foundations, corporations, or other sources.

● Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple proposals simultaneously

● Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling, and persuasive proposals and other written materials.

● Strong research skills and attention to detail, with the ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize complex information from diverse sources.

● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

● Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders

Preferred:

● In-depth knowledge of the K-12 education sector

● Familiarity with Loopio and Salesforce

Location:

● Remote work during Eastern Standard Time hours.

● Travel: As needed up to 20%

Salary and Benefits

● $110,000-$120,000 Annually + Bonus
