Riversand Syndigo Manager Of Development (Remote)

We are looking for a Riversand/Syndigo Manager of Software Development Engineering with expertise in both software engineering and product management. In this role, you will lead our team to develop cutting-edge software solutions while aligning development efforts with strategic product goals.

MUST HAVE experience with RiverSand/Syndigo.

1. Being a hands-on development manager that is managing a team of developers, we are NOT looking for someone that is multiple layers above where the development takes place.
2. Regarding the PIM experience, we are specifically looking for experience with the Riversand PIM. This is a little complex as Syndigo, a company that also has a PIM, acquired Riversand a couple years ago. We are looking for the Riversand PIM.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with RiverSand PIM implementation and support.
• Familiarity with cloud computing environments and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of data analytics and machine learning.
• Understanding of UX/UI design principles.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical expertise and guidance.
• Work closely with product managers to ensure development efforts are in line with the product vision and overall strategy.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept to final deployment.
• Implement and promote best practices in software engineering and agile methodologies across the team.
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects at once, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and create opportunities for team members’ professional development.
• Participate in key architectural decisions, ensuring the scalability and robustness of solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide clear updates on project progress.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• 3+ years in a leadership role within software development.
• Strong understanding of product management principles and experience collaborating with product teams.
• Proficiency in modern software development tools, technologies, and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality software products on time and within scope.
• Experience working with agile development methodologies.
