Job Description
We are seeking a Sales Engineer to drive business growth and deliver cutting-edge collaborative robotic solutions in the Japan market. This role combines technical expertise, business development, and customer success to identify opportunities, consult on automation solutions, and build strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify cobot application opportunities and educate end users on automation solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and foster relationships with key end users and integration partners.
- Deliver impactful presentations, product demonstrations, and consultative support to ensure successful deployments.
- Collaborate with regional leadership and marketing teams to implement lead generation strategies.
- Gather market intelligence, analyze trends, and provide insights to support forecasting and reporting.
- Achieve repeat sales through excellent customer experience and after-sales support.
- Organize and participate in major events, such as conferences, exhibitions, and customer site visits.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client activities.

The Successful Applicant
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in consulting and selling integrated robotic solutions or industrial automation systems.
- A proven track record of working with manufacturing customers and system integrators.
Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial automation equipment or systems.
- Excellent presentation, demonstration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to generate leads, close sales, and manage key accounts effectively.
Language
- Native-level Japanese (required).
- Business-level English is preferred.
Attributes
- Strong business acumen and a mix of “hunter” and “farmer” mindset to drive growth and maintain customer success.
- Awareness of local Japanese business culture; familiarity with Chinese business culture is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to engage with customers and partners across Japan.
