Position Title: Sales Executive
Department: Sales

Reports To: Sales Manager / Regional Sales Head
Position Summary
The Sales Executive in Logistics/Freight Forwarding/Shipping is responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new clients and expanding business with existing clients within the logistics and freight forwarding industry. This role involves identifying and pursuing business opportunities, managing client relationships, and working closely with operational teams to provide tailored logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition & Business Development
- Identify and target potential clients within the logistics, freight forwarding, and shipping industry to generate new business.
- Develop a pipeline of prospects through networking, cold-calling, referrals, and lead generation activities.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends and understand client needs.
- Sales Strategy & Planning
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to define and implement strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective clients, showcasing logistics and freight services tailored to their needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of the company’s service offerings, including air, ocean, and road freight solutions, warehousing, customs brokerage, and distribution.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Regularly communicate with clients to understand their logistics requirements, provide updates, and offer support for any operational challenges.
- Proactively address client concerns, resolving issues swiftly and to the client’s satisfaction.
- Sales Negotiation & Contracting
- Negotiate service agreements, pricing, and terms with clients to secure profitable contracts while ensuring alignment with company policies.
- Prepare and manage contractual documentation, ensuring all agreements meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure contract terms are met and invoicing is accurate.
- Collaboration with Operations Team
- Coordinate with internal teams, including operations, warehousing, and customer service, to ensure smooth execution of client requirements.
- Provide feedback from clients to operations to optimize services and enhance client satisfaction.
- Monitor the progress of shipments and logistics services to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, tracking performance metrics such as revenue, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Analyze sales data and client feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Maintain records in CRM software, keeping client information, sales activity, and interactions updated.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in sales within the logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of logistics services, including air and ocean freight, warehousing, customs regulations, and international trade compliance.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹40,000.00 – ₹80,000.00 per month
