As an Account Executive for Plaid, you’ll drive sales growth while managing relationships with our customers.  Your role will focus specifically on distributors, catalogs, independent and or regional retailers of all types, educational and fine art stores. This role is responsible for the entire sales cycle—from lead generation to closing deals—and provides hands-on support during onboarding, ensuring clients are well taken care of throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities

·        Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to meet revenue and profitability goals while identifying and prioritizing customer segments, and key accounts.

·        Proactively generate leads through various channels (cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and networking).

·        A focus on growth – both by upselling existing accounts and via retailer base expansion.

·        Customize presentations based on customer needs/challenges, ensuring relevance.

·        Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and sales activities.

·        Act as the main point of contact for customers, providing ongoing support, addressing concerns, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

·        Analyze sales performance and customer data to inform strategic decisions and improve both sales and account management processes.

·        

Frequently conduct customer visits and prepare the meetings using all available tools and reports, coordinate, negotiate and close proposals.

·        Coordinate with all internal departments including Customer Service, Compliance, Customer Planning, Operations, and Marketing, to meet deadlines and customer expectations.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance or a related field.
  • You must be a proven B-2-B enterprise sales professional with 3+ years of professional outside and inside sales experience selling CPG, to a diverse retail base..
  • Strong communication, presentation, critical thinking, and relationship-building skills.

·        You should be comfortable following a consistent sales process and methodology for account management planning – where account planning horizons and new opportunity sales cycles could last for months depending on the size and duration of the contract.

  • A customer-focused, data-driven mindset with strong analytical abilities.
  • You must be willing to devote at least 25% or more of your time to traveling to your accounts – significant travel is required.
  • You must be a high-energy, high-character, entrepreneurial sales professional with an unwavering commitment to excellence for yourself, the customer and your employer.
  • You must be passionate, self-starting and resourceful with a willingness to work as a part of a small, growing team. This is a fast-paced industry and environment; therefore, you must be self-managed and adaptable to change and growth.
  • You must be assertive with exceptional relationship and networking skills. You must have an executive presence and be politically savvy to expand relationships with upper and senior-level management within our customers.
  • You must be detail-oriented and highly skilled at the Microsoft Office suite of tools.
  • Local to the Atlanta area preferred buy not required – position can be remote.
