The company is a global leader in injection molding machines, plastic recycling machinery, and tooling for plastic extrusions, with over $20B in global sales. They manufacture advanced equipment, including hydraulic, hybrid, and electric injection molding machines, as well as plastics recycling systems such as grinders, shredders, and palletizers. The company works closely with OEMs and tier 1 suppliers, offering highly technical solutions to meet the demands of modern manufacturing and recycling.

The company is seeking a Senior Manager of Technical Sales with a deep, hands-on knowledge of injection molding or plastic extrusion.

This role is ideal for someone with a Sales Background who has technical knowledge of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the sales process for equipment or tooling (injection molding or plastic recycling equipment or extrusion tooling)
  • Use hands-on experience with machinery and tooling processes to and recommend appropriate equipment configurations to client companies
  • Collaborate with OEMs and resin manufacturers to integrate recycled plastics into production processes, offering both mechanical and chemical recycling solutions.
  • Apply technical expertise to guide customers in optimizing their equipment for improved efficiency and performance.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, ensuring the company’s technical solutions align with evolving industry trends.
  • Act as a technical resource throughout the sales cycle, ensuring that clients fully understand the capabilities and advantages of the equipment offered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5-15 years of technical sales experience in the injection molding or plastic extrusion.
  • Hands on knowledge in either injection molding machines or plastic extrusion.
  • Knowledge of mechanical recycling (e.g., shredding and grinding plastic materials) is a huge plus.
  • Proven ability to apply technical knowledge to business development, providing customized equipment solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Polymer Engineering preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical presentation skills to interact directly with clients and showcase equipment capabilities.
