AD Energy are working with a leading Renewable Energy manufacturer, who are looking to add a key hire to their expanding APAC team.
The business are global leaders in Solar Energy, with over 1000 staff across 22 offices. They are reowned for their high quality products that are compatible for all solar segments.
This position is a fundamental and cruical hire in the growth of the regional APAC team, following the continued and recent success of the business in Thailand.
Only candidates with direct Solar, Photovoltaics and Energy Storage experience will be considered for this position. An established a network with solar or electrical distributors and installer are also essential.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Reporting to the Head of BU, on all relevant operational and commercial strategies
- Take commercial sales and business development responsibility in the region (Thailand other emerging markets)
- Prepare annual plans, monthly sales and sales reports
- Effectively implement and execute market sales/ commercial strategy
- Maintain, pursue, and establish further business relations with Distributors, Installers, EPC and Systems Integrators within the Solar Industry
- Pursue a proactive market approach for new client acquisition (focus on solar distributors or installers)
- Keep abreast of influencing market drivers, competitive market factors that might potentially effect company market share
- Successfully and actively work on increasing market share
- Coordinate internal and external support for sales, business development, marketing, technical service
- Advise and provide guidance to existing more junior sales managers or specialists
- Be an advocate for the brand and company, be fully immersed with the product portfolio and developments
- Participate in industry exhibitions, tradeshows, conference and relevant meeting as leading company representative
Key Requirements:
- Degree-educated within Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy and Renewables or related subject
- A minimum of 5 years’ local sales leadership experience within the Solar PV (energy storage or solar power electronics) Industry
- In depth and extensive PV market knowledge and technical product ability, enthusiasm for innovation
- Direct commercial experience and knowledge about solar inverters and pv systems would be highly advantageous
- Possess an established network with credible distributors, installers, epc, and engineering partners
- Proven sales leadership or people management experience
- Strong business acumen, negotiation and communication skills
- Strategic and flexible nature, able to adapt accordingly to high pressure and dynamic market
- Ability to prioritize high priority demands and workloads, work effectively in intense environment
- Ability to be a keen and supportive team player
- Commercial and solutions- orientated
- Detail-orientated, a good problem solver
- Fluent English language ability, native Thai speaker
