ARM GROUP is hiring a Sales and New Business Development Manager for one of its multinational clients based in Aurora, IL.
Job Title: Sales & New Business Development Manager
Department: Specialty Chemicals
Location: Remote – USA
Designation: Manager/Senior Manager
Reporting to: Global Sales Head – Specialty (Mumbai, India)
Job Purpose:
To support the growth of the Specialty Chemicals Business Unit (BU) in the USA by building strong sales networks and driving the New Business Development (NBD) portfolio. The role is critical in commercializing new products in collaboration with R&D and other key internal stakeholders, acting as the main driver of growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market presence and achieve business growth in the USA.
- Aggressively focus on New Business Development to build and strengthen customer portfolios.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in the Specialty Chemicals market, particularly in Personal Care, Home Care, and Wellness ingredients segments.
Product Commercialization:
- Collaborate with R&D to provide customer needs as input for product development.
- Facilitate sample development, testing, and approvals to accelerate the commercialization process.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless product launches and customer satisfaction.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customer interactions, including handling feedback, identifying opportunities, and resolving issues effectively.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with Procurement to plan raw and packaging material needs for new product development.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure timely product deliveries to customers.
- Interface with Key Account Managers and Sales & Marketing teams to stay updated on market trends, customer needs, and industry developments.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Requirements (Required):
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Oil & Fats Technology,
- M.Sc in Organic Chemistry, or
- B.Chem from a reputed institute.
Experience:
- 15–18 years of technical selling and business development experience in the Specialty Chemicals industry.
- Proven experience selling to Personal Care, Home Care, or Wellness ingredients companies is highly preferred.
Key Skills:
- Expertise in sales and business development within the Specialty Chemicals domain.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze customer needs and provide innovative product solutions.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
