Sansom Equipment Limited is the leading distributor and service provider for generators, engines, pumps, blowers, valves, variable frequency drives and packaged engineered systems for industrial and municipal applications across Atlantic Canada.

As the authorized distributor for Kohler Energy (now Rehlko) in Atlantic Canada, we are seeking a Sales Specialist – Power Generation to join the Sansom team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role will provide knowledge and expertise for power generation applications in New Brunswick & Prince Edward Island.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify and develop new opportunities to grow the Power Generation business.
  • Work with consultants, electrical contractors, and end users to determine customer needs and offer proper Rehlko solutions.
  • Utilize Sansom Equipment’s CRM to manage opportunities and track sales progress.
  • Assist the Inside team in new quote strategy & delivery. Negotiate and close deals to drive revenue and meet required profit margins.
  • Help identify & build relationships with value chain partners to improve our customer solution.
  • Ensure seamless hand-off to the Project Coordinator during the award / shop drawing approval stage.
  • Become educated with Rehlko’s Power Generation solution. Provide in-depth technical knowledge for our customers when required.

Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary Education with 3-5 years of experience in the power generation industry.
  • Technical aptitude and an understanding of diesel/gas generator sets.
  • Knowledge of the sales process, with an ability to navigate from original request to an effective close.
  • Proven sales record with experience developing/implementing business plans for an assigned territory.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities with defined deadlines.
  • Solution focused and client centric with effective interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Capable of travelling within the assigned territory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
