About the Role

As a Sales Expert at TeemGenie, you will be responsible for driving new business through cold outreach to founders and decision-makers of deep-tech startups, primarily in the US. You will need to understand the challenges faced by startups scaling their tech teams and present TeemGenie’s value proposition effectively to gain interest and build lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Cold Outreach: Create and execute targeted outreach strategies (emails, LinkedIn, cold calls) to engage founders and decision-makers in the deep-tech startup ecosystem in the US.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential clients, focusing on VC-funded deep-tech startups in Silicon Valley and other US regions.
  • Market Research: Research and understand the unique needs of potential clients, including their funding stages, tech challenges, and team expansion plans.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals, including setting up meetings, presenting proposals, and negotiating contracts.
  • CRM Management: Track and manage outreach efforts, maintain a clean CRM database, and report on sales pipeline and performance metrics.
  • Networking: Build and maintain strong relationships with venture capitalists, accelerators, and key players in the startup ecosystem to generate referrals and warm leads.
  • Brand Building: Participate in the right events, be a part of the right groups and project TeemGenie’s offerings to the right audience.
  • Feedback Loop: Work closely with the marketing and leadership teams to provide feedback on effectiveness of sales efforts and adapt strategies to improve conversion rates. Assess where competitors are positioned and share early inputs for course correction.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of sales experience in B2B environments, with a focus on selling to deep-tech startups.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the challenges faced by VC-backed startups and the dynamics of scaling tech teams in India.
  • Cold Outreach Expertise: Proven track record of successful cold outreach, lead generation, and closing deals in a competitive market like Silicon Valley.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to craft compelling outreach messages and lead impactful sales presentations.
  • CRM Proficiency: Hands-on experience with CRM tools and data-driven sales methodologies.
  • Network: Existing connections within the deep-tech and startup ecosystems, particularly in the US is a must.
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and with a fast face with minimal supervision and thrive in a demanding results oriented work environment.
  • Out of the Box thinking: Ability to find innovative solutions to challenges faced in scaling and connecting with customers.

Preferred Skills

  • Background: Has set up and scaled a Sales function from scratch at a startup previously.
