Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily team meetings to ensure progress updates, lead Sprint planning sessions, and manage Sprint review processes, retrospectives, and progress tracking charts.
• Identify and resolve impediments in sprints and projects proactively to guarantee timely achievement of objectives, with an emphasis on the specific challenges associated with data science projects.
• Provide Agile training and coaching to team members and stakeholders, enhancing the understanding and application of Agile principles within the context of data science.
• Develop and refine user stories through facilitation, prioritization, and negotiation with business sponsors, stakeholders, project leads, product owners, and development teams, particularly focused on data science initiatives.
• Establish and implement metrics and reporting systems to monitor the effectiveness of sprints, projects, and overall program execution, with a focus on data science metrics.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business process diagrams, functional specifications, use cases, test strategies, and additional supporting specifications relating to data science requirements.
• Act as a key communicator to bridge gaps among diverse product owner perspectives, ensuring alignment and consensus on project priorities and goals in data-driven contexts.
• Utilize expert negotiation and conflict resolution abilities to facilitate complex discussions, fostering a collaborative environment where all voices are integrated into actionable strategies that propel project success.

Required Qualifications And Skills

• US Citizenship.
• Active or prior clearance at the Public Trust level or above, valid within the last two years.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Math, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Certification.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Enterprise IT environment, specifically leading data science projects.
• Proficient in requirements tools and tracking (e.g., JIRA).
• Familiarity with software lifecycle, implementation tools, languages, and methodologies such as GitHub, Oracle, AWS, and Java.
• Proven experience in providing Agile training and coaching tailored to data science teams.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct daily scrum stand-up meetings, PI planning, release planning, facilitate Sprint planning meetings, and coordinate Sprint reviews, retrospectives, and burn-down charts for data science projects.
• Proficient in developing user stories, including facilitation, prioritization, and negotiation with business sponsors, stakeholders, project leads, product owners, and development teams, with a focus on data science.
• Skills in developing metrics and reports for tracking sprint, project, and overall program execution, emphasizing metrics relevant to data science.
• Strong communication and documentation capabilities.
