Purpose:
Our client is seeking an Senior Account Manager with a background in CPG to develop business relationships and increase sales within their existing accounts by selling-in pre-approved sales initiatives. The Senior Account Manager will also be responsible for identifying and capturing new customers within the grocery channel, as outlined by their Sales leader. The Senior Account Manager will also become a partner to their existing customer base through solution-based selling, relationship building, follow-through and flawless execution.
Location: Remote
Salary Range: 100k – 110k annually plus bonus
Day-to-day Activities:
- Identify and prioritize key contacts within select retail customers
- Develop and execute account plans for respective customer base
- Identify and execute against unplanned sales opportunities within assigned accounts
- Create uniformed presentations that can be modified for each customer as needed
- Organize sales visits/calls based on plan timing
- Oversee assigned Broker (if applicable) and oversee related Sales functions, assisting where necessary
- Orchestrate and provide follow up to ensure flawless execution
- Become liaison between customer and rest of organization (retail, sales support, sales leaders, etc.)
- Maintain accurate records and follow up
- Achieve monthly sales objectives
- Leverage sales analytics to identify opportunities and new strategic initiatives to pursue
- Collaborate with Sales leaders on annual joint business plan
- Develop monthly guidance on forecast and demand needs, communicate risks
- Provide direction to retail team on customer specific plans
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree 5-7 years of business experience; Previous experience working with retailers preferred
- Persuasive selling skills with ability to gain new business while growing existing business
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills – abilities to identify issues and opportunities a must
- Stellar interpersonal skills, ability to get people & organizations to rally around your position through insights and thought leadership
- Comfort in managing multiple projects, working with various cross functional groups, often at the same time
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills in particular with Excel and Powerpoint
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong sense of ownership, proactive, can-do attitude
- Passion for exceeding customer expectations
