We’re looking for an awesome Senior Tax Accountant / Tax Manager to become part of our high-performing team in supporting the next generation of groundbreaking Australian companies.

Working with our growing client list of Australian startups and high growth companies (with investor funding of over $250m), you will play a crucial part in their journey to become the leading companies of tomorrow. You will be both challenged and supported to do your best work, with a team who lifts each other up and values having fun in the process.

The Work You’ll Do

In supporting our rapidly growing clients, you’ll be adding value in the areas of:

• Tax advice and support for international expansion
• Strategic advice on group structuring and tax planning opportunities
• Supporting client due diligence as part of capital raisings and M&A processes
• Working in collaboration with our Virtual CFO team to deliver aligned outcomes for our rapidly growing clients, including strategising on opportunities on client engagements

As a key contributor to our compliance team, you will be helping our clients with their compliance obligations including:

• Preparing annual income tax returns (with a strong leaning to business entities) and financial statements
• Supporting with preparation and lodgement of indirect tax obligations like GST, PAYG, FBT and Payroll tax
• Completing advice work relating to employee share schemes, restructures and capital gains events
• Supporting clients to successfully complete their annual external financial audit process
• Mentoring and developing junior team members as part of their career development

Requirements

We want to hear from you if you have:

• 3 – 8 years experience with a mid-tier Australian Accounting firm
• Degree qualified and have completed (or nearly completed) your CA or CPA
• You have a strong technical base in Australian tax, particularly for companies, and a strong grasp of tax structuring
• You are innately curious and love learning, and using those learnings to advance yourself
• Strong with Excel and Google Sheets
