Senior Accountant – Qualified

Our Client is a trusted provider of financial services, offering expertise in both Accounting and Financial Planning, with three offices located across Gippsland. Our client is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Qualified Accountant to join their team at our Moe office.
In this role, you will be responsible for a range of tax compliance tasks, including the preparation of BAS, financial statements, income tax returns, and direct client interaction. You will manage a diverse client base that includes individuals, as well as small to medium-sized businesses from various industries.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree qualification in Accounting or a related field.
- CPA or CA qualification (or in progress).
- At least 2 years of public practice experience.
- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particular Xero.
- Exceptional computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
- A positive work ethic with a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships and provide tailored accounting services.
- Prepare tax returns, financial statements, and BAS.
- Advise clients on tax-related matters and ensure compliance with Australian taxation laws.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of client work.
