ANZSOG is seeking two dynamic professionals to join our team: a Senior Advisor, Regulatory Program Design & Experience and a Senior Advisor, Regulatory Capability. These roles will support the engagement and development of regulatory practitioners across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
Senior Advisor, Regulatory Program Design & Experience
As a Senior Advisor, Regulatory Program Design & Experience, you will lead the development and delivery of high-quality regulatory programs. Working closely with the Director, Regulatory Practice, you will design and develop the annual NRCoP program, ensuring it addresses the needs of the regulatory community. Your role will be pivotal in facilitating thought leadership, coordinating high-quality learning events, and evaluating participant experiences to inform continuous improvement.
Senior Advisor, Regulatory Capability
As a Senior Advisor, Regulatory Capability, you will lead initiatives that build the professional capability of regulatory practitioners. Working closely with the Director, Regulatory Practice, you will develop and implement initiatives to support membership growth, improve member services, and address opportunities for custom programs and solutions. Your role will be pivotal in building productive relationships with key partners, gathering market intelligence, and ensuring the successful delivery of regulatory capability programs.
Shared Position Details
The ideal candidate brings:
- An applicable tertiary qualification with three years’ subsequent experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Experience working in a regulatory agency and/or knowledge of regulation (desirable)
- Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
Based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, or Canberra, these roles offer the opportunity to contribute to the regulatory success of a leading public sector institution while growing with a dynamic team.
Full-time positions on an ongoing contract. Salary range is $106,000 – $118,000 per annum plus superannuation with the opportunity to contribute to meaningful public sector development across two nations.
Hybrid working model of three days at our office in Carlton (VIC), Sydney (NSW), Canberra (ACT) or Brisbane (QLD) and two days optionally from home.

It supports participants and agencies in becoming more professional and capable regulators, promoting the public value of regulation. The NRCoP offers a range of online and in-person learning opportunities, resources, and professional development programs, including The Professional Regulator program in partnership with ANU. It is overseen by a volunteer National Steering Committee and financially supported by over 100 government departments and regulatory agencies.
