Join City of Moreton Bay as a Senior Applications Developer and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

The Senior Applications Developer plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining custom business solutions and integrations. Contributing to the development, maintenance and management of council’s development, AI/ML and integration platforms delivered through cloud platforms.

Responsibilities also include:

deliver high quality solutions that are well designed, documented with high quality tested code
knowing multiple languages and systems is an advantage our solutions range from C#, Python on AWS or Azure to MS power platform and SharePoint
oversee AWS development, AI/ML and integration platforms
provide expert advice in the complex analysis, design and architecture of technology solutions including AI and ML
maintain system documentation, including change requests, technical and user guides, and problem resolution knowledge bases

About you

We are seeking a talented collaborator and strong communicator to join the Digital Transformation team. Ideally, you’ll be well versed in C#, python, JavaScript, React and other programming languages and experience working with AWS or Azure to MS power platforms and SharePoint will be an advantage. We are a very productive team with lots happening – you’ll need to harness your excellent organisational and time management skills to manage conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.

You’ll also require:

high level knowledge and experience working with DevOps practices and frameworks
demonstrated experience writing and working with APIs and web services; experience with AI, edge processing, real-time analytics, and machine learning is a plus
strong communication skills, excellent organizational and time management abilities, and a talent for building relationships and providing outstanding customer service
