Senior Automation Tester (Remote)

The customer is a global leader in information services and solutions for professionals in the health, tax and accounting, risk and compliance, finance and legal sectors. It helps their customers make critical decisions every day by providing expert solutions that combine deep domain knowledge with specialized technology and services.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Product Owner, developers, and other team members to gain a comprehensive understanding of new and existing products and features
• Determine test cases required to comprehensively test our products
• Advocate for approaches that drive quality and ensure testability
• Design, develop and maintain automated tests within an automated test framework
• Supplement with manual testing as required
• Work with Customer Service on tickets relating to customer accounts, customer access, and data issues
• Design, develop, and test scripts that address customer access issues or customer migrations
• Plan and execute testing-related tasks within an Agile/Scrum environment
• Remain current with evolving industry trends and technologies in the automated testing arena

Requirements

• 4+ years of AQA experience
• Experience and technical creativity demonstrated when thoroughly testing a complex multi-tiered distributed application
• Excellent analytical and debugging skills, with strong attention to detail
• Experience with relational databases required, familiarity with other database technologies including NoSQL
• Strong collaboration skills and desire to work in a highly collaborative environment
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
• Proficient English (written and spoken) B2

Nice to have

• Experience with responsive web applications
• Experience with common test frameworks desirable, with experience building internal tools and frameworks
• Experience with Java or scripting languages
