A day in the life…

• This position is responsible to conceptualize, feature design and development, maintenance, and production support of all data integration platform, tool, and ETL/ELT processes
• This position is responsible for leading a team of data engineers to build and maintain the data lake that will support analytical and reporting use cases across the Spoonflower organization
• Work in a dynamic & agile environment to develop creative data-driven solutions using AWS Tech stack, Snowflake, Databricks, SQL, as well as other modern data technologies
• Working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues
• Identifying, designing and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes

What we are looking for…

Required

• 8+ years of software industry experience in maintenance of large-scale AWS Implementations.
• At least 6 years of experience in software development life cycle.
• At least 3 years of experience in Design and architecture review.
• Design, develop, and test data processes per business requirements, following the development standards and best practices as well as participate in code peer reviews to ensure our applications comply with best practices
• Work with Business analysts to gather business requirements from end users and translate them into technical specifications.
• Gather requirements to define data definitions, transformation logic, and data model logical and physical designs, data flow and process.
• To be responsible for providing technical guidance / solutions
• Provide estimates for development
• Must possess strong knowledge of AWS architecture and Security.
• Must have — Expert level proficiency in Python, and PySpark and must have 3-4 years of development experience in Pyspark.
• Must have — Experience developing large-scale analytics projects using AWS services – Expert level proficiency in Glue, RDS, S3, Lambda.
• Experience in designing scalable data pipelines
• Understand Architecture Requirements and ensure effective Design, Development, Validation
• Expert knowledge on all ETL design standards
