Senior Back End Developer Wfh (Remote)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-quality, maintainable back-end solutions by leveraging modern technologies and industry best practices.
• Employ test-driven development methodologies to construct and maintain complex applications in a cloud setting.
• Participate in technical research, analysis of user stories, and agile ceremonies including backlog grooming and sprint planning.
• Conduct unit testing and aid in the establishment of automated testing frameworks, collaborating with testers to troubleshoot issues and provide comprehensive documentation for clients.
• Offer technical support and demonstrations to end-users during user acceptance testing (UAT) and address production challenges.
• Ensure applications are optimized for performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate closely within a cross-functional team, working alongside design and product management on data sharing and cloud infrastructure.
• Actively contribute to the product vision and team planning efforts.
• Mentor and guide junior developers to foster their professional growth.
• Stay informed on the latest back-end technologies and best practices, making recommendations for new tools and techniques.

Required Skills

• Proven expertise in developing and deploying Python applications or services on cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
• Proficient in additional programming languages, including C# and C++.
• Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Strong understanding of RESTful and gRPC services alongside microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, particularly Azure DevOps.
• Basic understanding of front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular).
• Experience working within an agile development environment, promoting iterative development and continuous integration.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving practices.
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset for engaging with clients, colleagues, and partners.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• At least 8 years of experience in back-end software development.
