Senior Backend Developer (Remote)

Pure is a global dating app committed to bringing honesty and fun into the dating world. We believe that dating is more than just swiping – it’s a delightful journey where everyone can discover something special, regardless of their preferences!

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to help us accelerate our product’s performance and broaden our audience. Like any dating platform, we manage high volumes of users and data, work on refining matching algorithms and architecture, continuously enhancing user experience, and developing new features.

We leverage a modern tech stack: Python 3.11+, asyncio, Django 4+, pytest, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. We’re actively progressing in our transition to microservices with DAPR, Kafka, and Keycloak, with several functional microservices already in place

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer
• Strong knowledge of Python.
• Knowledge of Django and relational databases such as PostgerSQL.
• Experience in writing Restful applications and using the Django REST Framework
• Experience with Celery or Dramatiq.
• Working knowledge of Docker.
• Experience with testing (we like and write tests, average coverage is higher than 80%).

Bonus points for experience with any of the below:

• Payment systems.
• MIcroservices – DAPR, Kafka, Keycloak, Databus.
• PostGIS.
• aiohttp.
• Machine learning services.
